About The Lincolnshire Marketer

Practical marketing knowledge for Lincolnshire businesses

An independent publication sharing accessible marketing knowledge with businesses, charities, freelancers and organisations across Lincolnshire.

A note from the founder

Created from a love of sharing useful marketing knowledge

The Lincolnshire Marketer was created from a genuine love of sharing marketing knowledge and helping businesses feel more confident about what to do next.

After more than 15 years working in marketing, including almost a decade spent supporting businesses in and around Lincolnshire, I wanted to create a space where useful, practical advice could be shared openly. Not overcomplicated. Not full of jargon. Just honest insight from real experience.

Marketing can feel overwhelming, especially when so much advice is aimed at large brands, city-based businesses or companies with big teams and even bigger budgets. But many Lincolnshire businesses work in a very different way.

Here, marketing is often shaped by rural locations, coastal seasons, local reputation, community trust, word of mouth and the challenge of being visible across towns, villages and wider service areas.

The Lincolnshire Marketer exists to explore that difference, share knowledge and help more businesses feel empowered to build marketing into their wider strategy.

Practical marketing knowledge for Lincolnshire businesses

The Lincolnshire Marketer is an independent publication created to share accessible marketing knowledge with businesses, charities, freelancers and organisations across Lincolnshire.

The content is written from hands-on experience across local, regional and national marketing projects, supported by continued education and extended professional qualifications.

The aim is to make marketing feel clearer, more useful and more relevant to the realities of running a business in Lincolnshire.

Marketing through a Lincolnshire lens

Lincolnshire is a county with its own mix of opportunities and challenges.

From rural communities and market towns to coastal destinations and growing local businesses, the way people discover, trust and choose businesses here is not always the same as in larger cities.

A rural business may rely on reputation, referrals, search visibility and clear communication across a wider area. A coastal business may need to manage seasonality, visitor behaviour and staying front of mind outside peak periods. A local service provider may depend heavily on reviews, local SEO, community trust and being known for the right reasons.

The Lincolnshire Marketer looks at marketing with these differences in mind.

Sharing knowledge, not overcomplicating it

This publication is here to make marketing easier to understand and more practical to use.

You will find plain-English advice, marketing explainers, useful resources, local insight and honest thoughts on what can help businesses improve their visibility, strengthen their message and make better marketing decisions.

Topics may include SEO, websites, content marketing, paid advertising, branding, social media, customer journeys, local visibility and marketing planning.

The focus will always be on practical advice that businesses can understand, adapt and use.

For businesses across Lincolnshire

The Lincolnshire Marketer is for the businesses, charities, freelancers and organisations that make the county what it is.

It is for people who want to understand marketing better, feel more confident about their options and know where to go for the right kind of support.

Whether based in a rural village, market town, coastal destination or somewhere in between, this publication has been created to share marketing knowledge that feels useful, relevant and grounded in real experience.
