October 2026 Marketing Dates and Lincolnshire Day

October begins with one of the most important local content opportunities of the year. Lincolnshire Day takes place on 1st October and celebrates the county’s identity, history and communities. Lincolnshire County Council explains the background to Lincolnshire Day, which marks the anniversary of the Lincolnshire Rising of 1536.

Almost any local business can take part, but the strongest content will go beyond simply displaying the county flag. Introduce a Lincolnshire supplier, share the story behind your location, highlight a local collaboration or explain what operating in the county means to your organisation.

British Food Fortnight continues until 11th October, followed by World Food Day on 16th October and Apple Day on 21st October. These dates suit farms, orchards, farm shops, food producers and hospitality businesses that can demonstrate where their ingredients come from.

The Lincolnshire school half term runs from 24th October to 1st November. Attractions, accommodation providers and coastal businesses should publish family activities and booking information in advance. Mablethorpe’s beach sandracing season also begins during October, with event information available through the Mablethorpe events calendar.

Halloween provides an additional opportunity for events, hospitality, retail and family attractions. Use the October calendar below, then prepare festive campaigns with November 2026 marketing dates.
